An update
I think I need to write more. I realize that my writing style is rather plain and uninteresting, and I'd like to solve this problem. As the old idea goes, you only get better if you work at it. What I'm trying to do is create my own narrative style.

So my birthday came and went and now I'm 25.

[info]gramarye1971 is back in Virginia safe and sound. It's good to have her around again, it was lonely coming home to an empty apartment. Also she indirectly keeps the apartment cleaner. With her around I have someone else to consider, and I take greater care to clean the apartment.

I've been hired by "Pender", as a CSR. Mostly the job is to pull people's files and make sure the paperwork goes smoothly. I'm quite excited. It's a job outside my field, and that is always exciting. The people seem great to work with, and the big boss sounds like a great guy. He and I got into a conversation yesterday, mostly for him as a means of assessing the "build of my character". Working in the same building as Mary feels pretty good. I've never really had a pet, nor have I worked with animals, so this will be a good experiance for me.

Today is the first day of legally paid for internet. I think [info]gramarye1971 is secretly quite happy about it. Her computer (a Dell Inspiron) hasn't been able to connect to the "ghetto-net" as well as my computer (a Toshiba Satellite). So the last month has been pretty rough on her. I've felt pretty bad about it.

Classes are going as expected. I'm doing pretty well for the most part, and I'm keeping up with the material. My first paper is from my Philosophy of Social Science is due on the 11th of October. I have two weeks to hash out a decent 10 page paper. I'm pretty scared. I'm hoping to get a good 4-5 pages into it, this weekend. It can end up being crap and I'll delete half of it, but I need to get on top of this stuff. My ass kicking class is going well. Dr. Jacobs turns out to be much more down to earth than I thought. I thought he was one of those Professors that consider themselves "The Thresher" of the Sociology Department. Now it seems that he's quite genuine, and thoughtful about what he does. He's still a hard professor, but it's hard in a way that's good for me. If I can't cut it in his class, for me, I have no business being here.
